Ciara O’Kelly (1995) is an artist from Ireland who lives and works in Haarlem, The Netherlands. In her practice, she creates large scale sculpture works incorporating various mediums involving performance, video and text. Through these forms, she questions how to decondition the overperforming body, control neuroplasticity and cultivate resilience through endurance practices.
In 2022, O’Kelly grauated from the Dirty Art Department at Sandberg Institute, and earlier in 2017 from NCAD, Dublin with a BFA degree in Sculpture & Visual Culture. She was previously awarded residencies at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Colorado, MoHA in Austin and Fire Station Artists’ Studios in Dublin.
Alongside her practice, Ciara O’Kelly take on freelance projects in the field as an experienced production specialist, art handler and installer.
